What is Traditional Medical Ozone Therapy?

Ozone therapy is a complementary practice using medical-grade ozone (O3) administered via various routes (autohemotherapy, intramuscular, rectal insufflation, topical, intra-articular).

Limited evidence shows possible benefit in chronic wound, ischemic conditions, low back pain (intradiscal/intraforaminal application), and as adjunct therapy in inflammatory disease.

It is recognized as a TCAM application in Turkey under the Ministry of Health regulations. Inhalation, severe G6PD deficiency and pregnancy are contraindications. It must be performed by trained physicians.
