What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a method in which small volumes of medication, vitamins, minerals, or homeopathic substances are injected into the mesodermal layer of the skin with very fine needles. It was developed by Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952.

In Türkiye it can be performed by licensed physicians under the traditional/complementary medicine regulation. The most common applications are pain management, aesthetic medicine, and capillaritis (hair mesotherapy).

Low back, neck, and joint pain
Cellulite and localized fat accumulation
Hair loss (androgenetic alopecia)
Skin aging and dryness
Athlete's pain and myofascial issues
Local edema and circulatory disorders

Risk Factors

Risk of infection and scarring at the injection site
Allergy to the components of the mixture
Bleeding risk with use of blood thinners
Not administered during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Careful evaluation in autoimmune disease
