What is Therapeutic Massage?

Therapeutic massage encompasses various techniques such as deep-tissue, sports, neuromuscular, and Swedish massage, applied to relieve muscle tension and support circulation.

There is moderate-level evidence for chronic low back and neck pain, stress-related muscle tension, rehabilitation, and athletic injuries; it can be used to support conventional treatment.

In Türkiye, it should be performed by authorized physiotherapists, certified sports masseurs, or under TCAM (GETAT)-authorized physician supervision. Avoid massage centers making unsupervised health claims.
