What is Clinical Applications of Tai Chi?

Tai chi is a mind-body exercise of Chinese origin known for its slow tempo and flowing movements. It combines balance, flexibility, posture and breath control.

Evidence is increasing for supportive use in fall prevention in the elderly, knee osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Because of its low intensity it is safe for most patients. It should be used as a supportive exercise approach, not in place of conventional treatment.

Severe acute pain
