What is Ozone Therapy: Clinical Indications and Safe Application?

Medical ozone is a controlled mixture of oxygen and ozone. In addition to antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral effects, it is suggested to influence oxygen metabolism.

Major autohemotherapy is the most commonly used route. Studies are ongoing in indications such as insulin resistance, lumbar disc herniation, diabetic foot, and chronic wounds.

Inhalation use is contraindicated. Trained operators and standard equipment are required.
