What is Myasthenia Gravis Advanced Treatment?

Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness due to development of antibodies against the acetylcholine receptor or MuSK at the neuromuscular junction.

In patients refractory to standard immunotherapy, rapid clinical improvement can be achieved with C5 inhibitors (eculizumab, ravulizumab) and FcRn inhibitors (efgartigimod, rozanolixizumab).

Treatment selection is based on antibody type, side effect profile and cost considerations.
