What is Hypnotherapy (Clinical Hypnosis)?

Clinical hypnosis is an evidence-based psychological intervention administered by a trained therapist that uses focused attention, heightened suggestibility, and deep relaxation states.

Its efficacy in irritable bowel syndrome, chronic pain, phobias, and smoking cessation has been supported by clinical trials. Hypnosis is not a means of controlling someone against their will.
