What is Cervical MRI?

Cervical MRI is a radiation-free imaging study that displays the cervical vertebrae, discs, spinal cord and surrounding tissues in cross-sections.

It provides important information in chronic neck pain, pain radiating to the arm, weakness, balance disturbance and the investigation of multiple sclerosis. The study takes about 25–40 minutes on average.

Because of the sensitivity of the examination, the patient must remain still and metal compatibility must be checked beforehand.
