What is Basic Approach to Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is a traditional medical system originating in India, based on the concept of doshas (vata, pitta, kapha), and incorporating practices such as nutrition, lifestyle changes, herbal preparations, and massage.

Although some herbal applications have shown benefit in clinical studies, a significant proportion of Ayurvedic products carry the risk of heavy metal contamination (lead, mercury, arsenic). Products of unknown origin should therefore be avoided.

In Türkiye, under the TCAM regulation, Ayurveda must be administered only by certified physicians using regulated products. It is not a substitute for conventional medical treatment.
