What is Robotic Radical Cystectomy with Intracorporeal Urinary Diversion?

Robotic radical cystectomy with intracorporeal urinary diversion ICUD is the surgical procedure of removing the entire bladder along with adjacent organs and creating an ileal conduit or neobladder, all performed inside the body with robot assistance.

It is the standard treatment for muscle-invasive bladder cancer.

It improves recovery and reduces wound complications compared with the open approach.
