What is Psoriasis Treatment in Children?

Psoriasis in children is most commonly seen in plaque type but guttate, inverse, and pustular forms can also occur. Streptococcal throat infection is a known trigger for guttate psoriasis.

Treatment plan is individualized according to age, disease severity, and quality of life. Psychological support and family education are important parts of treatment.

Comorbidity screening for obesity, metabolic syndrome, and psoriatic arthritis should be performed.
