What is Bipolar TUR-P (Modern Prostate Resection)?

Bipolar TUR-P uses bipolar energy to resect prostatic tissue with isotonic saline irrigation.

The risk of TUR syndrome is eliminated. It is the gold standard for prostate volumes between 30 and 80 mL.

It is indicated in lower-urinary-tract symptoms (LUTS) and retention unresponsive to medical therapy.
