What is Childhood Lymphoma Treatment Protocols?

Pediatric lymphomas account for about 15% of childhood cancers. ABVE-PC and BEACOPP-like protocols are used in Hodgkin lymphoma; international protocols such as BFM and COG-ANHL are used in non-Hodgkin forms.

PET-CT, bone marrow biopsy, and molecular pathology (CD markers, MYC, BCL2) are used for staging. Chemotherapy intensity and radiotherapy use are adjusted by risk group.

Late effects (cardiotoxicity, secondary malignancies, infertility, thyroid dysfunction) require long-term follow-up. The COG Long-Term Follow-Up Guidelines provide systematic surveillance recommendations.
